Intro to Flamenco dance and music

Dive into the Spanish dance called flamenco. It's a powerful, beautiful form of dance that started over 200 years ago!

In this experience, you can put on your dancing shoes! Host Kate will help you learn basic flamenco choreography and percussion techniques using your hands. Clap, snap your fingers, and move your body to music! You can also learn how to play the castanets and how to use a fan in the dance.

Plus, chat about the history of flamenco: Where does it come from? Who dances flamenco?

To explore this experience together, we can...: pick up a fan, make rhythms with our hands or castonets, and feel the fabric of flamenco costumes

Getting here: What you need to know.
You can get to this home by bus, and it takes most people about three minutes to get from the bus stop to the home. Depending on which way you’re coming from, there might be one busy street to cross. The street has ramped curbs, and there is a traffic light at the closest intersection between the bus stop and the home. There are 6 steps up to the entrance of the house.
