Become a Plastics Recycling Guru

In a hand's on way, we'll explore the whys, whats and hows of recycling plastics way beyond what is currently possible through city recycling programs.

To explore this experience together, we can...: You'll see the five main categories of plastics, beyond what the city recycles.
-: We'll work together to sort plastics into categories, and how to weed out what can't be recycled. We'll wash plastic bags and learn simple ways to dry them quickly.
-: We'll go online to see how plastics recycling depots work, and how you can plug into them.

Getting here: What you need to know.
You get to this experience by bus. Any route that goes down Main St. will work. Or you could go to the King Edward Skytrain Station and walk. Depending on which way you're coming from, you may need to cross Main St. There are traffic lights and walk signals at Main and King Edward, and at Main and 22nd Ave. It takes most people about 5 minutes to get from the bus stops on Main St. to the experience location, and about 5 minutes from King Edward Station to the experience location. There are sidewalks and ramped curbs all the way between the transit stops and the experience location.

Afterwards, you could go to: Pacific Mobile Depots runs monthly plastics recycling depots in various locations across the lower mainland.
