Words of wisdom: Express yourself through poetry

Think poetry is boring. No way!

Meet Ellen and see how awesome it feels to find the words for the things you feel. Poetry is an amazing way to help understand and express what we experience in life. Ellen is a poet herself - and a super warm, enthusiastic, and friendly person. Together, you'll meet st the Surrey City Centre library and explore how easy it is to start writing your own poetry!

If you like the idea of writing but hate sitting still, this experience is for you! You'll walk around the library, exploring the books around you for inspiration. You'll play with different ways of moving words around until they feel like they mean something special to you. And you'll get the chance to see Ellen's own poetry and write in your own, new poetry journal.

This experience is great for anyone who wants to learn to express themselves better, who wants to make a wonderful new friend, or who'd like to explore their local library!
