Special One Day Experience: Canadian Film Fest!

This Experience happens for one day only on March 25th, 2018.

Join Brandon as he attends the Cinema Spectacular 5 Film Fest in Vancouver. Brandon is a filmmaker with See Together Media and has been attending this festival since it started several years ago. He will guide you through the festival and introduce you to the film makers, media representatives and organizers. There are many booths set up with swag and prizes, you can enter your name to win a few draw prizes if you want. There will be drinks and refreshments (popcorn!) before the films start. There will be some people around doing social media that Brandon can introduce you to. Get a chance to say Hi to some of the film makers.

Tickets to the film fest are $12. There will be an hour and a half of films to watch, then an hour long break before another hour and half of films. The films are all 15 minutes or less in length.

During the break you will get a chance as part of the audience to ask questions. There will also be a Q&A at the end with the film makers.

Sometimes afterwards everyone goes to a bar to unwind and chat after. If that's your kind of thing you can decide if you want to go.

-: Explore the booths and enter some of the draws
-: Ask questions about the films and talk to people from the film community

Getting here: What you need to know.
The Vancity Theatre is located in Downtown Vancouver on Seymour Street just off Davie. If you are getting there on transit you can take the skytrain to Statium Chinatown and get on the '6 Davie' bus. Get off the bus at 'Davie and Richards street'. Walk up davie street (the same direction the bus was driving) and turn right on Davie street, you will see the Theatre on your left.

You can also walk there from Granville Skytrain station but it's a long walk, at least 15 minutes, all the way up Seymour street.

Nearest skytrain station: Vancouver - Granville
Skytrain meetup: No: I can only meet at the experience location
Should I bring money: Tickets for the fest are $12. If you want to get something from the concession stand bring some money for that.
Afterwards, you could go to: There are lots of other film festivals that happen in Vancouver, ask Brandon if you want to check out a few more.
